Nashville, TN (April xx, 2013) –Sunday Mornin’ Country®, the annual Country and Gospel music show, is pleased to announce that the GRAMMY award-winning group The Oak Ridge Boys will be featured at this year’s show, to be held June 9, 2013 at 2:30 PM at the Grand Ole Opry House. This year’s show will also be hosted by GRAMMY award-winning artist Linda Davis and hit singer and songwriter George Hamilton IV. Additional artists joining the line-up will be announced in the upcoming weeks.    

Voted as a Top-20 Tourism Society Event, Sunday Mornin’ Country®, now in its 34th year, is the perfect closure for CMA MusicFest weekend. The Oak Ridge Boys, who are celebrating their 40th anniversary as a group this year, are an excellent example of the type of artists who participate in the annual event. Their newest album, Back Home Again, is a collection of their Gospel favorites.

Congratulations! Nashville’s “Sunday Mornin’ Country”® Celebration has been selected as one of the Southeast Tourism Society's Top 20 Events and Attractions! This recipient makes a return appearance on the prestigious list garnering multiple years of wins, including 20042008 and 2010, as well as numerous years of nominations.

Southeast Tourism Society is a non-profit organization whose goals and objectives are to develop, market and promote travel to and within the Southeastern States. The winners of the “Top 20 Events” are sent to over 1800 media outlets around the country. Selected  events enjoy free, widespread publicity from newspapers, magazines, TV, radio and other media in the U.S. and Canada, as well as having  the honor of being included in this prestigious list of special events and festivals.

“Sunday Mornin’ Country”® promises to be the Best Ticket in town, blending Top Country Artists and your Favorite Gospel Music together for a time of Celebration andInspiration you don't want to miss!  

“It’s not just a concert, and it’s more than a church service!” stated event producer Lorrie Babcock Hendrickson.  “Sunday Mornin’ Country”® brings us great entertainment for the whole family, as Country Music Artists come together to share their heart as well as their favorite Gospel songs!” 

Sponsored by the Nashville-based Nonprofit, Music City Christian Fellowship, the organization presents the concert at the conclusion of CMA Music Fest/Fan Fair each year, leaving its Fans & Guests with an uplifting memory of Nashville that will last a lifetime! Celebrating 34 years, “Sunday Mornin' Country"® is the longest running named Country/Gospel event associated with the week of CMA Music Fest/Fan Fair.  

*All of the Artists volunteer their performance. The MCCF Board of Directors is also non-salaried.

*ALL proceeds from the admission price go toward the Venue and Production costs incurred.
